Living Will

Living Will

An Advance Health Care Directive, commonly known as a Living Will, gives you the right to determine, in advance, what extraordinary means may or may not be used in the event you are injured. If there was a situation where you were in a persistent vegetative state with no likelihood of a recovery, your designated Health Care Agent can make decision on your behalf on whether or not doctors should continue with treatment.  Put together properly by an experienced wills attorney a living will allows you to give some direction to your Agent of your medical wishes while you are still competent to make such choices. For many individuals, if there is no quality of life, the thought of living on machines and tubes, racking up expensive medical bills is heart wrenching. A Health Care Directive allows your Agent to make important medical decisions on your behalf.
