Ryan was born and raised in Arizona. In 2010, He graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. During the final semester of his undergraduate studies, Ryan was selected from a large pool of applicants – made-up of three of Arizona’s universities – to participate in the legislative internship program. He was placed in Boards and Commissions in the Office of Governor Janice K. Brewer. In that capacity, Ryan assisted the Governor’s various appointees through the Senate confirmation process and helped inform the Governor and her staff on pending legislation. Through this unique opportunity, he was able to gain a working knowledge of the legislative process and some of the nuances of state government.
In 2014, Ryan graduated from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. During his time in law school, Ryan had the opportunity to work as a certified limited practice student attorney with the Civil Justice Clinic. While working with the clinic, he gained significant practical experience and skills as an attorney: client intake and representation, drafting pleadings and motions, conducting settlement negotiations, and making court appearances. After working with the clinic for a regular term, the clinic Director invited Ryan to extend his involvement in the clinic as a veteran student attorney. This afforded him a full year of experience practicing law, which many law students do not otherwise have the opportunity to gain.
Having had exposure to a variety of law practices through his clerkships, Ryan arrived at the conclusion that the area in which he is most interested is estate planning. What he most enjoys is building a rapport with clients, hearing their stories and circumstances, and learning their goals and ambitions. Further, he enjoys providing a service for people that helps make them feel both a sense of accomplishment and security.
Ryan was admitted to the practice of law in Arizona in 2015.
