Stuart Cannon

Attorney

Stuart is an estate planning attorney based in the Goodyear, Arizona area, focused on helping individuals and families put durable, well-considered plans in place, from revocable trusts and powers of attorney to wills and beneficiary deeds.

His practice centers on the estate planning tools Arizona families rely on most, including revocable trust drafting and restatement, co-trustee and successor trustee structuring, powers of attorney (including incapacity provisions), beneficiary deeds for real property, and capacity assessments for clients navigating difficult family or health circumstances.

Stuart’s favorite part of practicing estate planning law is the relationships he builds along the way. Every plan starts with a conversation about what a family cares about most. That may include protecting a spouse, providing for children, or keeping siblings from disagreeing later. Stuart sees his job as translating those hopes into something durable and clear. That mix of technical precision and genuine human stakes is what drew him to this area of law, and he values the role he plays in helping people navigate a process that’s often personal and, for many, unfamiliar. Helping someone walk away with real peace of mind, rather than just a stack of paperwork, is what makes the work meaningful to him.

Stuart earned his J.D. from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School and is licensed to practice in Arizona.

Outside the office, Stuart enjoys spending time with his family, exploring Arizona’s outdoors, cooking, reading, collecting tennis racquets, and playing tennis.
